On the evening of Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, I was doing some serious brainstorming on the name to give the blog. I wanted something biblical, but that is also fanciful. I came up with many names, but on checking, they have been taken. Tired, I reached out via WhatsApp to one of my church members, Dr. Toluwalope Fakorede, a dear brother and friend, who appointed himself as my personal assistant to relieve me of some duties in our local church to help me out.
It was he who came up with the name Green Treasures. The two words in the name of the blog are ‘rich’ and ‘capture’, and they capture what it is about. Green is a color that symbolizes life, and treasures represent God’s glory, wisdom, knowledge, power, grace, and life embedded in the Bible. David said, in Psalm 119:162, “I rejoice at Your word as one who finds great treasure.” The word of God is treasure indeed – the only kind that can afford humans eternal life.
Through this blog, I shall be digging into the word of God to dig up the rich treasures of God embedded therein regarding the diverse subjects covered by the Bible, like Christian living, spiritual growth, faith, marriage & family, career & finances, Christian Apologetics, and lots more. I pray that this blog will be a true treasure base when millions of people will find the true treasures of God. I will not be the only writer on this blog. There shall be other contributors from time to time.
Please know that your engagements with the articles we publish here means a lot to my team and I. We would like you to share thoughts with us, and also ask questions in the comments section. And, as the Lord blesses you through the articles, we would like you to help us share them with others.
Finally, unless otherwise indicated, all scripture quotations on this blog will be from the New King James Version of the Holy Bible. The Lamb who was slain is worthy of His reward and glory forever.
